Family Night: Jay Jay the Bubble Guy

We're kicking off our Summer Reading Program with an interactive magic show featuring lots and lots of bubbles!

This program is funded through a Community Development Block Grant through the City of Vineland and by the Monarch Family Success Center of Vineland.

Family Night: Magic Show featuring Ken Northridge

Ages 12 & younger • Tuesday, July 16 • 6 to 7 p.m.

Enjoy a comedy and magic show featuring a live rabbit, music and plenty of audience participation!

This program is funded by a Community Development Block Grant through the City of Vineland.

Family Night: Wetlands Institute Sea Creatures with Amazing Features

Ages 12 & younger • Tuesday, July 23 • 6 to 7 p.m.

Enjoy a fun and interactive explanation of local sea animals, including but not limited to their habitats, food chains and anatomy.  Animals include sea stars, sea urchins, hermit crabs, spider crabs, green crabs, clams, sea snails, and a horseshoe crab.

Family Night: Tori's Critters

Ages 12 & younger • Tuesday, July 30 • 6 to 7 p.m.

Meet some interesting reptiles and other animals, and learn something new!

Family Night: Talewise Science Experiment Show

Ages 12 & younger • Tuesday, August 6 • 6 to 7 p.m.

The Vineland Public Library and the Monarch Family Success Center (MFSC) are hosting a Family Night with Talewise!

Enjoy a treasure-hunting adventure deep within the jungle! The audience helps the performer act out the tale, as they use the events in the story to explore several exciting science concepts, such as air pressure, energy transfer, physical vs. chemical changes, and more! Volunteers help conduct each experiment and the whole audience gets involved in changing variables, making predictions, and comparing results!

This program is funded by the Monarch Family Success Center of Vineland and a Community Development Block Grant through the City of Vineland.

Family Night: Musical Puppet Show featuring Rick Waterhouse

Ages 12 & younger • Tuesday, August 13 • 6 to 7 p.m.

Enjoy a performance of "The Chef and his Dragon Adventure" and help King Rupert and Chef Alfredo save their kingdom from a dragon. This original interactive musical play is performed by entertainer Rick Waterhouse and a cast of puppets.

This program is funded by a Community Development Block Grant through the City of Vineland and Monarch Family Success Center of Vineland.

Whalemobile - Inflatable Whale Educational Program

Ages 5-12 • Friday, August 9 • 2 to 4 p.m.

Children ages 5-12 (Grades 1-6) are invited for a "whale" of a program!

The Whalemobile team will take children inside the belly of an inflatable whale to explore the captivating world of these majestic creatures while delving into vital environmental lessons. Step inside Nile the whale, to discover the fascinating similarities and differences between whales and humans that highlight the uniqueness of these incredible marine beings. Participants will take turns inside the whale for 30-minute sessions. Activity sheets will be available for children as they wait for their turn in the whale. 

This program is not for children younger than 5.

Bridgeton Cohanzick ZooMobile Visit

Ages 3 & up • Tuesday, August 20 • 2 to 3 p.m.

Meet some interesting animals from the City of Bridgeton's Cohanzick ZooMobile, including axolotl Lemon Evan!

Sensory Story Time

Ages 3 & up • Wednesday, August 21 • 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Join us for an interactive storytelling activity approach that supports children with autism or sensory processing challenges. Instead of restricting children to sit still and listen, sensory story time will offer children the opportunity to move and enjoy built-in time for sensory play while they enjoy stories, songs, and rhymes.     

This Story Time will limit the group size and noise level for those with sound sensitivity.

Teens

Origami • July 10 • 4-6pm

Let’s make origami! Origami is the Japenese art of paper folding. Teens will use some tutorials to make cool things out of paper!

Minecraft Survival Test • July 17 • 3:30-6:30pm

Put your Minecraft survival skills to the test with this program from TD3 Innovating Gaming! Learn to gather resources, hunt for food, and fend off creatures in a thrilling deserted tropical island challenge. You’ll learn the strategies needed to survive in this difficult environment and improve survival instincts.

Make-A-Movie • July 24 • 3-6pm

Lights, camera, action! Help us make a movie. Teens will choose an idea, decide on roles, and shoot some scenes. The film will be edited for a movie night at a future date!

Ice Cream Party & Games • July 31 • 4-6pm

Make an ice cream sundae with a selection of delectable toppings! Teens will also play games, such as Jackbox Party Pack, Uno, and/or Smash Bros.

Gartic Phone Game Night • August 7 • 4-6pm

Join us in playing Gartic Phone, the online Telephone Game! Teens will come up with funny sentences, and be chosen at random to draw them. Watch as chaos ensues!

Chess/Checkers Tournament • August 14 • 4-6pm

Compete against each other in chess and checkers to see who comes out on top. Teens can win small prizes and bragging rights!
